So, here's the idea. Basically, I want people to send me sounds. Where they come from or how you get them I don't care - That is up to you entirely. Ideally I'm after 'hits' (short but distinct sounds - like a clap, or a gunshot, or something similar), but if you have a sample of speech or noise that's a few seconds long, send them too. Nothing longer than about ten seconds though please, for reasons I'll get to shortly.
Anyway, once you've got the sounds, send them to spannstorage[at]googlemail[dot]com, and then once I've got enough (Although what "enough" is is something I'll decide as we go), I'm going to attempt to make some kind of piece of music/sonic art/soundscape/sonic postcard, or whatever the current trendy term for abstract sound is. I think this could be a really interesting opportunity for loads of people to contribute to a bigger project, and obviously once it's all done and dusted you'd be credited for helping and it'd be released under Creative Commons and blah de blah blah. Wavs, MP3s, whatever, send them. I don't care what quality they are, just gimme some sounds!
